About Us

SEECHILD stands for “Sustainable and Effective Empowerment of Children with Disabilities.”

We are a registered non-profit organization in Uganda, with a mandate to work with children living with disabilities. With our two training centres, we have a vast experience of providing effective skills to parents and children with disabilities. We pride ourselves on providing effective solutions for children’s disabilities.

SEECHILD is located in Bunamwaya Central, Mutundwe Parish in Wakiso District.

Objectives of SEECHILD

Help parents understand and handle well their children with disabilities.
Promote awareness of children’s various disabilities and their marginalization in communities.
Work with various government agencies & organizations to influence policy in order to create conducive environment for children with disabilities.
Ensure that communities become vigilant to eradicate stigma and bias which usually culminate in unfair treatment of children living with disabilities.
Create avenues for financial empowerment of families, organizations and programs with such children.
Promote research development and innovation for solutions of the problems affecting children with disabilities.
Run skills training centers for children and parents.
Run day and boarding care centers for children with special needs.
Participate in programs, activities that promote or support the realization of the above mentioned objectives.
